Having a lifestyle that reflects not only smart, but also healthy living is something our team strives for on daily basis. Needless to say, this included the challenge of running the 2018 Skopje Marathon on May 6.
Most of our team took the challenge and started seriously preparing for the Marathon at least three months earlier. Among the choice of five different distance races, we had runners signed up for the half-marathon (21km), the relay (10.5km x 4) and the 5km race.
But, why run a marathon?
There are several reasons why would someone want to do this, and ours included:
- Step out of the comfort zone;
- Improve our health;
- Get fit;
- Make new friends;
- Inspire others;
- Stay motivated to run;
- Sleep better;
- People would make signs for us 😉;
- Gain the confidence we never knew we had;
- Have an amazing feeling of accomplishment.
Generally, marathons can often give you a chance to raise money or awareness for a good cause, in addition to giving you the chance for a life-changing experience.
Our team ran a total of 109km winning six medals, and we couldn't be happier for this achievement as we are looking forward to the next challenge!
